We Welcome You as a New Patient

Your First Visit

Learning as much as possible about your orthodontic condition is our first step in determining your individual treatment plan. This step consists of what we call an orthodontic consultation, and we offer a complimentary initial consultation to address your needs and concerns.

Your teeth, bite, face and profile are examined. Dr. Palasz will use the results of the orthodontic consultation to decide if records are needed and will also begin to determine which treatment plan will best suit your personal needs.

We will collect a complete set of orthodontic records. The records process includes obtaining plaster models of your teeth, X-rays of your head and teeth, photographs and your medical-dental history.

After examining you and studying your orthodontic records, the individualized treatment plan for your case will be presented and explained. Because the doctor will be sharing records with you and answering any questions you may have, this is the best time for parents or guardians to be present if we will be treating a minor. The goals of treatment and any potential difficulties will be thoroughly discussed before we begin orthodontic procedures.

Your Second Visit – Braces Begin!

You will select the type of braces (silver, clear, gold, or Invisalign) and band colors at the beginning of this appointment. The appointment is generally about 1 to 1.5 hours in duration and concludes with our Certified Orthodontic Assistants reviewing home care.

It is our mission to provide you with affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget! We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs, we accept most insurance, and as a convenience to our patients, we file all insurance claims for you once treatment has begun. Please ask us about financing options.

If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Many insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. Remember that insurance policies vary, and we will review your insurance to determine the appropriate course of action. Once treatment has started, we will file your claims.

To help us with your insurance filing, please complete the insurance questions on the health history form that you will receive after scheduling your consultation.

Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges.
