If the doctor (and you) agree that this next step is needed, we will collect a complete set of orthodontics records. The records process includes obtaining plaster models of your teeth, X-rays of your head and teeth, photographs and your medical-dental history.
After examining you and studying your orthodontic records, the individualized treatment plan for your case will be presented and explained. Because the doctor will be sharing records with you and answering any questions you may have, this is the best time for parents or guardians to be present if we will be treating a minor. The goals of treatment and any potential difficulties will be thoroughly discussed before we begin orthodontic procedures. |
